About
The Starter Scholarship at International Business School (IBS) 2025, offered by IBS in Budapest, Hungary, is a merit-based scholarship aimed at supporting high-achieving international and local students enrolling in any Buckingham-validated English-language Bachelor’s program for the Fall 2025 intake. The scholarship provides a 25% reduction in the first-semester tuition fee, encouraging academic excellence and making quality business education more accessible. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Starter Scholarship at IBS 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be aged 18–25 years at the time of scholarship application.
Apply for and enroll in a Buckingham-validated Bachelor’s program at IBS for the Fall 2025 intake (e.g., BSc in International Management, Finance, or Business and Diplomacy).
Meet the academic entry requirements for the chosen program, including:
International Applicants: Minimum of three A-level exams with at least AAB grades or an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with 35 points.
Hungarian Citizens: Minimum of two A-level exams with at least 70% scores in each.
Demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS (Academic or General) overall band score of 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each component).
TOEFL iBT score of 90 (certificate must be less than 2 years old).
Not be a current IBS student (except for those enrolled in the English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) program).
Not hold another IBS scholarship (e.g., Academic Scholarship) concurrently.
Award Amount
The scholarship covers 25% of the first-semester tuition fee for the chosen Bachelor’s program.
The award is applied as a direct tuition fee reduction and is not disbursed as a cash payment.
The scholarship is non-renewable and applies only to the first semester of study.
Note: The scholarship does not cover additional costs such as registration fees, accommodation, living expenses, or other non-tuition fees.
Application Process
No separate scholarship application form is required, but candidates must indicate their interest in the scholarship. Follow these steps to apply:
Apply for a Bachelor’s Program: Submit an online application for a Buckingham-validated Bachelor’s program via the IBS admissions portal (available on the IBS website).
Upload Required Documents: Include the following in your course application:
High school diploma or latest transcripts (if the diploma is not yet available; certified copies required).
Scanned copy of a passport (valid for at least six months beyond the program start date).
IELTS or TOEFL language certificate (if applicable).
Indicate Scholarship Interest: Email scholarship@ibs-b.hu with a subject line “IBS Starter Scholarship Application” to express your interest in the scholarship. Attach a motivation letter (500–700 words) explaining your academic goals, why you chose IBS, and how the scholarship will support your studies.
Review Process: Scholarship applications are reviewed by the IBS Rector, whose decision is final. No appeals are permitted.
Accept Offer: If awarded, accept the course and scholarship offer by paying the remaining tuition fee balance by the deadline specified in the offer letter (typically August 31, 2025).
